The Hyer Family has acquired Warrior Roofing, a manufacturer of asphalt roofing underlayments and distributor of synthetic underlayments and house wraps.

“Our family has had a long legacy in the roofing and waterproofing markets, and this is a great opportunity to return to our roots,” said Sean Hyer. “Duane Cunningham built Warrior Roofing to be a leader in shingle underlayments, and we are proud to be taking ownership of such an exceptional organization. Warrior will continue to deliver roofing underlayments and at the same time bring innovation designed to meet the changing needs of roofing contractors.”

Warrior Roofing was founded in 1978 and forged a reputation for high-quality shingle underlayments. With its extensive market knowledge, Warrior Roofing is well positioned for the future and for new opportunities with our customers.

Warrior Roofing manufactures asphalt roofing felts in Tuscaloosa, AL, and Chambersburg, PA, and distributes other underlayment products across the United States. For over 50 years, the Hyer family has been involved in the roofing business, owning APOC, Gardner-Gibson and Sun Coatings before selling them in 2020.
